About Dr. Yvonne Lee

Dr. Lee grew up in Toronto and discovered the field of veterinary medicine during her veterinary co-op placement. She also worked at the Toronto Humane Society which confirmed her love of animals and medicine.

A graduate of the University of Sydney School of Veterinary Science, Dr. Lee is focused exclusively on the care of dogs and cats and has over 20 years of experience in the veterinary field.

Early in her career, she gained extensive experience providing on-call services, including in-home pet euthanasia and palliative care, in rural Ontario.

She witnessed how comforted animals felt to be at home in the presence of their family in their final moments, and, after her family cat fell very ill last year, she was able to peacefully put him down in one of his favourite places in the house together with her husband and two other cats.

Even though it was heartbreaking, there was a sense of peace that he was not suffering anymore and was able to cross-over with respect and dignity in the company of his loved ones.

Dr. Lee makes west Toronto her home along with her husband, baby daughter and two cats (Mortimer & Gilbert Blythe).

Prior to COVID and having a baby, she enjoyed travelling and continues to enjoy playing sports, piano and ukulele in her free time.
