For most pet owners, using in-home end-of-life services provides them with the chance to say goodbye to their pets in the comfort of their own home, which is also almost always a more peaceful and less stressful option for their pets who are often anxious or stressed-out when visiting a veterinary clinic or animal hospital.

How Our In-Home Services Work:

The process for our in-home end-of-life services is similar to what you might expect and one of our veterinarians will discuss the decision with the pet owner and explain the procedure.

Initial physical exams are required by law, and the results of the assessment will be assessed by our vet, on-site.

You’ll then have a discussion with our Vet about your options, with each one being explained in detail.

If your pet’s condition is sustainable, our Vet will discuss a plan that includes medication and other steps.

If your pet is a suitable candidate for euthanasia, our Vet will explain why.

If you decide to proceed, our Vet will administer a sedative to your pet which will allow them to become relaxed and comfortable.

Once the pet is sedated, the veterinarian will administer a final dose of medication that will stop the animal’s heart and peacefully end their life.

With all of this being said, and as heartbreaking as it truly is, it’s important to note that your pet will not feel any discomfort and will cross-over comfortably in their home while surrounded by their true family.

Our In-home end-of-life pet euthanasia services are provided by certified, experienced and active mobile veterinarians who specialize in end-of-life care for pets and are trained to provide compassionate care for pets and their families during this difficult time.

Aftercare Supports:

After the procedure, we provide pet owners with the option to have their pets cremated (communally or privately) or buried at home.

In-Home Pet Euthanasia & Palliative Care Services in Toronto
5/5

Hi Dr Lee - you helped my Ruby cross the rainbow bridge in December 2022.

The day that you came to our home, I contacted my regular vet. They referred me to a mobile hospice vet, who, to this day, has not called me back. If it wasn't for you I don't know what I would have done. You came out in the middle of one of the worst blizzards we had. You were the calm in the storm that evening.

I lack the words to tell you how you have made this experience easier. You showed so much compassion and care during one of the most difficult moments of my life. I felt as though I had a friend by my side as I said goodbye to my girl.

Your level of care surpasses anything I have ever seen. You made it possible to give my Ruby the ultimate gift - a safe, dignified, peaceful passing.

I can't imagine your job is easy, but I wanted you to know, that your care and kindness is something I have never experienced in veterinary medicine.
